What is the standard termination notice period for an employment contract in Australia?
I would like to knoe what is the standard termination notice period for an employment contract in Australia, in your view.
I was under the impression that 2 weeks notice is pretty much the standard, but I just bumped into a contract with 4 weeks, which I find a bit long.
Thanks in advace for your time reading and answering the question.

The standard is 2 weeks but can be longer if the company wishes it and they put it in the contract and you sign it. The length of time depends on the time the company believes it will take for you to debrief them, finish everything to a state that someone else can take over. Some jobs this period can be as long as 3 months (my last job it was 12 weeks).
