What are the types of employment contracts?

Here in CA, USA. Is it lawful to be binded with a contract like…unable to transfer or do part time to another employer?

    What do you mean? You mean a contract that states something like, "When I leave my job, I will not work for any competitor for two years thereafter…"

    Those are unenforceable. If you signed one, don’t worry. A judge will laugh it out of court.

    If you mean a policy that prohibits you from moonlighting, then they can fire you, since you can be fired for any reason, but they cannot successfully sue you for breach of contract, or otherwise prevent you from working your second job.

    Business & Professions Code 16600: Except as provided in this chapter, every contract by which anyone is restrained from engaging in a lawful profession, trade, or business of any kind is to that extent void. (Note: The exceptions deal primarily with sales of businesses.)
