How do I get past this immigration brick wall for civilian employment with a law enforcement agency????
I am a Canadian trying to get a job in the US as a crime scene specialist. I have a Master’s degree in Forensic Science from the US. The problem is if I’ve been told they want to hire me they won’t help me with the immigration issue. Any advice to get past this brick wall???

Every single government agency in the US has the exact same policy… One must be a US citizen prior to employment. There is NO way around it.
You must become a citizen before you can get hired. And no agency is going to assist you in the process. Become a citizen.
Its just the way it is.

YOur going to have to immigrate and do all that on your own, get your green card etc etc. As I’m sure you know it can be costly.
My BFF is a Supervisor at the Police Department I use to work for. She is Dutch, been here almost 10 years. She wont be able to become an officer untill she becomes a citizen.
